Letting go is a very personal matter. What can be the common thread to freedom for one person may only trigger question marks for someone else. What should I let go of, and where? A tree sends thousands of seeds into the wind without worrying about their whereabouts. Letting go can mean trust, holding on can translate to security.

A hand that has just let go is open, a fist holds something tight. Would it be possible to do both at the same time? This question gave rise to the plaster hand, which has been scanned and printed out again. Scanning and printing the hand turns it into a digital twin. The process sends it into a virtual world and brings it back, transformed, into the analog world.

Let go, hold on, let go, hold on, let go until it is effortless.

It was buried beneath the apple tree for three months, unearthed a day before the exhibition.
